When you switch to a more natural lifestyle there are inevitably some things that you have to give up. Lucky for you, a good smelling car isn’t one of those things!

To use: Unscrew the wood top. Discard plastic plug. Securely screw the wood top back onto bottom. Tip bottle over for 2-3 seconds to wet wood cap. Do not over saturate. Repeat when you stop noticing the scent (usually weekly for me).

Here’s the long and short about what I know about anti-aging. Moisture is a wrinkle’s worst enemy. Chemical preservatives in many commercial products lead to premature aging. I will not go on a soap box. Repeat. I will not go on a soap box.

I have combined natures moisturizing powerhouses to help nourish and hydrate skin, to soften lines and wrinkles and then I loaded this bad boy up with essential oils that are sure to brighten skin and repair damaged cells. Age gracefully my friends!

When I was first introduced to essential oils, I wasn’t educated on proper dilution and found myself totally overwhelmed and hesitant to use the oils I had just purchased.

However, when I discovered rollerballs, that all changed. I loved their on-the-go convenience. I loved that they were diluted and ready to use. And I loved that my kids could use them.  Here are some of our family’s favorites and my customers’ most requested recipes!

You wouldn’t know it now, but I struggled with “angry” skin most of my 20’s and even parts of my 30’s. After my 4th baby, my skin was at its all-time worst! I was at the point where I literally had tried everything, and I just thought that I was going to have bad skin the rest of my life.

You see, I have oily skin and I had spent the majority of my life buying into conventional wisdom and believing oil was the enemy. I was over washing my face and using really harsh products in an effort to try and get rid of the oil my skin was producing. You guessed it. The more I would try and strip the oil the more oil my skin produced.

Enter, this little gem. This all-natural facial moisturizer for acne-prone skin will help nourish & hydrate skin while keeping blemish causing bacteria at bay. Moisture is key my friends—yes, even if you have oily skin. I know. It sounds counterintuitive. Trust me! If you keep your skin moisturized, your natural oil production will balance out. I still have oily skin but it’s happy and I can live with that!

Slick Fix is where it all began folks! The original gangster. The OG! The interest I received when I posted this product on Facebook was how I knew I was onto something. I swear half of my friend list wanted one!!!

New tattoos, dry, chapped skin (think noses, lips hands, elbows, knees, feet) blisters, burns, rashes, broken limbs (just kidding!) but I can confirm it is great on stitches that resulted in a surgery from a broken limb. This product is super-versatile, and it will quickly become your favorite “fix” for just about everything! I’m not kidding, when my kids come to me with an ailment on some sort, I ask them, “Have you tried Slick Fix?”

Swapping out my deodorant was at the top of my list (along with commercial vapor rubs) when I started cleaning up my act. I tried a lot of natural deodorants over the years, and even several recipes of my own (right, Sarah) before I found one that worked. One recipe I tried had lemongrass essential oil in it. It wasn’t my favorite deodorant, but it did keep the mosquitoes away all summer long. Which, looking back, might have been an even bigger win that having the freshest armpits. Just saying.

Ok. Back to my current recipe and a bit about my sweating habits. I have been known to “pit out.” I don’t walk around constantly sweating but I do break a sweat easily, especially when I am nervous or when I was in the highly caffeinated phase of my life. Who knew coffee can make you sweat like a banshee?!? I do. Now. Lol

Full disclosure. Not everyone who has purchased Pit Paste has loved it, but I do have a decent size customer base who are avid fans! I encourage you to give this all-natural, aluminum free deodorant a try. Perk—it’s safe for the whole family!

Do not immediately expect the same results as traditional deodorants. It can take a few days (even a few weeks) for your pits to rebalance themselves. Also, sweating is heathy, and it is really good way for your body to detoxify itself. As I started looking to “clean” up the products in our home, the commercial vapor rub in my cabinet was at the top of my list. Have you ever looked into the ingredients? You guys, it’s Bad. That’s bad with a capital B!

I don’t want to get on a soap box here, but these commercial vapor rubs are made of a petroleum by-product and contain known irritants (like Camphor) that are toxic and actually cause an increase in mucus production. WHAT!?! Not to mention they should not be used on children under age 2 and should NEVER be used directly under the nose!

Poor sleep (difficulty falling asleep/staying asleep) is the #1 concern that my customers come to me with.

I cannot relate. I am good sleeper. A really good sleeper. And thankfully so are my kids. My husband on the other hand is not. He developed poor sleeping habits as a child that have plagued him well into adulthood. I could tell he was always running on empty, and I wanted to help him get the rest his body needed. I didn’t love the idea of using commercial sleep aids—not even melatonin—because of the side effects and potential dependance. So, I developed this salve for him. He has never consistently used it (sigh). You can lead a horse to water, am I right?!?

Although Andy doesn’t use it regularly, I do however have customers who swear buy Sandman Salve. It is an all-natural salve that promotes better sleep by calming the senses. It helps you reduce restlessness by relaxing and quieting your mind. Perk—it makes your feet super soft and is also safe for all ages.

Worried about Andy’s sleep? Rest assured. (See what I did there?) He has made some progress and seems to be sleeping better these days. I think him kicking coffee made the biggest difference. He used to drink an absurd amount of coffee every day, all day. Turns out we are both recovering coffee addicts.

I had surgery on my right hip in 2008. It feels pretty good most days, but it does like to cause me some grief occasionally. I used to use commercial products, but I was always self-conscience of the scent that these products left me sporting. Shake the Ache does just the trick.
